The Ark

Putting research to work for the benefit of the economy and supporting the creation of start-ups!

Created in 2004, The Ark Foundation provides a range of services to help companies in the Valais region establish, grow and flourish. It is therefore aimed at both existing SMEs seeking innovation and technology start-ups in the making. At the Energypolis Campus, The Ark’s main mission is to help researchers turn the results of their research into marketable products and services.

Through its concrete actions, The Ark offers services to encourage economic players in the Valais to demonstrate creativity and innovation. To achieve this, The Ark encourages the development of new knowledge from universities of applied sciences and cantonal and national research institutes.

The Ark embodies the strategy developed by the cantonal authorities to create a genuine technology park in Valais. The unique feature of this park is that it is multi-site (seven technology sites spread between Visp, Sierre, Sion, Conthey, Martigny, Le Châble and Monthey). Through CimArk SA, it also provides researchers and entrepreneurs with support services and practical tools for setting up innovative projects.

As Imperix is destined to remain a continuous technology creator, the proximity to EPFL on the Energypolis site is essential to our innovation approach.”
