AI Meets Genomics: Understanding DNA Beyond the Sequence

Rather than being limited to reading the genetic code, AI makes it possible to interpret what DNA does and how it controls the functioning of living systems. AlphaGenome, a new AI system developed by DeepMind, perfectly illustrates this evolution.

the history of valsynthèse is closely linked to that of nitroglycerine. initially used to dynamite the simplon tunnel, this substance has found a second life in cardiovascular treatments. this transition from explosive to drug illustrates the company’s ability to adapt its know-how to the demands of fine chemistry. today, valsynthèse produces around 1,000 tonnes of chemical substances a year, thanks to its 27 reactors, for some fifty customers around the world.
